Welcome to the Boston Diagnostics Website. We are a group of highly qualified academic radiologists based in Boston, offering advice to the medical and radiological community. We offer our expertise in cross-sectional imaging, particularly CT and MRI, and guidance for protocols, application of new techniques, and second opinions as well as primary reading of studies.
Our focus is on colon cancer prevention, particularly Virtual Colonoscopy. Boston Diagnostics offers help to Imaging Centers starting virtual colonoscopy on demand. We provide primary reading of virtual colonoscopy exams to radiology centers: turn around time is typically less than 24 hours following reception of studies.
We also provide second opinions on difficult cases and training.
Why is colorectal screening important?
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a leading cause of cancer-related death in the United States. Each year, 65,000 people in the United States die from the disease, while 155,000 new cases are diagnosed. Early detection of CRC improves survival dramatically. Colon cancer can be prevented if polyps are discovered and removed early. Tumors take years to develop. Polyps, when detected, can be removed preventively.
